First Landing State Park

First Landing State Park is one of the most important historical locations in the United States. In 1607, English colonists landed at this site for the very first time. The interior waterways were used by Union and Confederate patrols during the Civil War. 

First Landing State Park is the most visited park in Virginia. With more than 20 miles of some of the best hiking trails in Virginia Beach. Its cypress swamps were a source of freshwater for merchant mariners, pirates, and military ships during the War of 1812. Legend has it that Blackbeard, himself would hide in the Narrows of the park and even hidden treasures that have yet to be found.

Ferry Plantation House:

Ferry Plantation house has so much history to be shared. To this day volunteers have many claims of seeing paranormal activity. Some have had pleasant contact others not so much; they have been pushed and even had their hair pulled. This mansion was divided into many different sections over the years.   There was a courthouse, slave quarters, even a funeral home all within the same location.

Military Aviation Museum

Don’t miss out on a chance to see the world’s largest collection of war aircraft at the Military Aviation Museum. Many pieces are still in mint condition and are extremely impressive! This fascinating museum of warbirds includes planes from different countries such as Italy, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, and other countries that participated in World War I and World War II. Fish Tacos at Pelon’s Baja Grill

Pelon’s has a small sign and obscure location right off Atlantic Avenue. This must-visit restaurant is right by the beach and has been a local treasure for many years. Inside you will see a typical surfer’s hangout with old posters, stickers, and framed pictures plastering the walls in overlapping layers. They have affordable tacos, burritos, and salads. Hunt Club Farm

Hunt club is a year-round attraction with events like the Spring Fling Easter Egg hunt and the Harvest Fair there’s fun to be had for all.
